What the association does
A volunteer board, elected by the homeowners, handles:
- Common areas. The entrance and shared green space.
- Covenants. Architectural review, and enforcement of the recorded covenants that apply to all 61 lots.
- Finances. Annual dues, payment for shared services, and a reserve for larger repairs.
- Communication. Meeting notices, this site, and direct notice to residents when something needs immediate attention.
Boundaries
Deer Point sits in Oakland Township, off West Gunn Road and west of Rochester Road, with Rochester 48306 mailing addresses. The subdivision is 61 lots on five streets:

Oakland Township now maintains the main entrance street, which is why it sits outside the road project.
The 139-acre Blue Heron Environmental Area lies just north of the subdivision, and Blackheath Golf Club is about a mile away. Children in Deer Point attend Rochester Community Schools.
History
The association was incorporated in 1997, before the first houses went up. Construction ran from 1998 through 2005.
The houses are predominantly colonial, and range from about 2,400 to 6,400 square feet on wooded lots.

Every homeowner is a member. Board meetings are open to all residents. If you would like to help, come to a meeting or contact the board.
