Privacy Policy

Deer Point Subdivision Association (the “Association”) runs this website for the residents of the Deer Point subdivision. This policy says what the site collects about you, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it. The short version: the Association keeps what it needs to bill dues and keep in touch, hands payment details to a payment processor without ever seeing them, and does not sell or share your information with anyone else.

What the Association collects

  • Owner details — your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the lot or lots you own, and a mailing address if it differs from the lot. The board enters these when it creates your resident account.
  • Your dues account — charges, payments, late fees, waivers, and corrections for your lot, kept as the Association’s financial record.
  • Consents — when you agree to these terms, enroll in auto-pay, or opt in to paperless delivery, the site records which version of the text you agreed to, when, and the internet address and browser it came from.
  • Sign-in — a cookie that keeps you signed in for two weeks, and a count of failed sign-in attempts so an account locks briefly after too many.

Payments

Online payments and saved payment methods are handled by Stripe. Your card or bank account number goes directly to Stripe and is never stored on this site or seen by the Association. The site keeps Stripe’s reference numbers and, for a saved method, a description like “Visa ending 4242.” Stripe’s own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy covers what it does with your details.

Email

Account emails — invitations, password resets, receipts, notices — are sent through Resend, an email service, from an address at deerpointsub.com. Resend sees the address and the message in order to deliver it.

Website analytics

The public pages use Vercel Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. The portal pages are not tracked.

Who sees your information

Board members, when they are doing Association business: the treasurer sees every account, and other board members can see them too. Stripe and Resend see what they need to process a payment or deliver an email. Nobody else. The Association does not sell, rent, or trade your information, and shares it only if the law requires.

How long it is kept

Your dues account is part of the Association’s books and is kept as long as its records are. Owner details are kept while you own a lot and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of questions about the account. A nightly backup of the site’s content, including these records, is kept in the Association’s private code repository.

Your choices

  • You can see your own details and account history in the portal at any time.
  • You can ask the Association to correct your details by emailing deerpointtreasurer@gmail.com.
  • You can turn paperless delivery on or off, and cancel auto-pay, in the portal.
  • You can ask for a copy of what the Association holds about you, or for your resident account to be closed, by emailing deerpointtreasurer@gmail.com. The dues record for your lot stays in the books.

Children

The portal is for lot owners and is not meant for anyone under eighteen.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it and residents will be told by email.
