Terms of Service

These terms cover the resident portal on this website, where owners of lots in the Deer Point subdivision can see their dues account, pay dues, and manage how Deer Point Subdivision Association (the “Association”) contacts them. By signing in you agree to them. The Association’s governing documents, not these terms, set the dues themselves and what happens when they go unpaid.

Your account

The board creates an account for each owner it has an email address for. Your account is yours alone: keep your password to yourself, and tell the Association at deerpointtreasurer@gmail.com if you think someone else has used it. If you sell your lot, tell the Association so the account can be closed; the new owner gets their own.

What the portal shows

The account history in the portal is the Association’s record of charges, payments, and corrections for your lot. The Association works to keep it accurate, but a payment sent by mail or Zelle appears only after the treasurer records it. If something looks wrong, contact the treasurer at deerpointtreasurer@gmail.com; the record in the Association’s books controls.

Paying online

Online payments are handled by Stripe, a payment processor. The Association never sees your card or bank account number. A processing fee, shown before you pay, is added to each online payment so that the Association receives the full amount of dues; you can avoid the fee by paying by check or Zelle instead. Bank transfers take several business days to clear and count as paid only once they do. A payment your bank returns is not a payment, and any fee your bank charges you for it is yours.

Auto-pay

If you enroll in auto-pay, you agree to the authorization shown when you enroll, which is emailed to you for your records. You can cancel in the portal at any time. Canceling auto-pay does not cancel dues you owe.

Late fees

Dues unpaid after the due date and any grace period may be charged a late fee under the policy the board sets, which is described on the Dues page. Late fees appear on your account history when they are added. The board may waive a fee at its discretion.

Electronic notices

The portal emails you receipts and messages about your own account. Notices the Association would otherwise mail are delivered electronically only if you opt in to paperless delivery, which you can turn off at any time.

No warranty

The portal is provided as it is, by volunteers, for the convenience of residents. The Association does not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, and is not liable for losses that come from relying on it beyond the amount of any payment shown incorrectly.

Changes

The Association may change these terms. When it does, you will be asked to agree to the new version the next time you sign in, and the version you agreed to is kept with your account.
